2008 NC Fishers Of Men State Championships  held at Lake Norman        

         On Saturday March 7th 2009,  the third annual NC Fishers Of Men  National Bass Tournament Trail  State Championships For NC was held on Lake Norman. Five Adult Jr Teams and Twenty Adult teams qualified to fish in this fast growing event. The blast off was held at  Blythe Landing in Huntersville . It was a beautiful sunny dayand all teams caught fish.  Prior to the weighin the Carolina Attitude Fastpitch softball team held a pitching demonstration and wooed the crowd with astounding pitchs. They are slated to compete strong in the 14u age group this year and Have high expectations of winning the World Series.    

    Every team was able to make the trip to the scales that were located at BASS PROSHOPS in Concord NC. Host Hank Parker Jr. kept the crowd entertained with his wit and knowledge. Each team was pulled through the weighin in a Toyota Tundra supplied by Toyota of Concord and Nitro boats supplied by Bass Proshops.     A.J. and Jimmy Leshock collected the top Adult/J. prize of $250 donated Mike Sides, Piedmont Director, and John Snincak, Regional Director, of Fishers Of Men.  Erroll Duckett won a drawing and recieved a Kistler Rod worth $200 donated by Trey Kistler. The winning weight of #11.42 was posted by Adam Petty and Brian Fritts from Raleigh NC .They won $1000.00 donated by Rocky Socks. They also received $250 donated by Bass Proshops for the biggest fish of #3.90. Second big fish was caught by Marty Nester and Mike Sides of #3.42. Second Place went to defending champions Wayne Sharpe and Marc Morrison with a weight of #9.42 and Third Place went to Mike Sides and Marty Nester with a weight of #9.06.Fourth place went to Steve Singelton and Wayne Needham with a weight of #8.88. The top Director championship went to Mike Sides.  

     The crowd was awarded for showing up with tons of door prizes thrown out by the Carolina Attitude Softball team and Toyota of Concord. We would like to thank all the people who volunteered to help especially Jon Morgan who basically directed the event allowing The Directors to fish. Hope to see you at next years event.

 

  

2007 Rocky State Championship

The 2007 North Carolina Directors Challenge State Championship Was Held On Lake Wylie On 3-08-08. Eighteen Teams who qualified for this tournament in 2007 blasted of from Southpoint landing at 6 am.Conditions were horrific for fishing with 30 mile an Hour winds rain and cold tempertures. Every team was able to make the trip to the scales that were located at BASS Proshops in Concord NC. Host Hank Parker Jr.Arrived in his Race car and was an excellent speaker and kept the crowd entertained with his wit and knowledge.

Joie and Erroll Duckett collected the top Adult/J. prize donated by Dennis Gallimore of Innovative Construction and John Snincak Regional FOM Director by winning the Adult/Jr Brackett bringing 13.86 pounds to the scales. Erroll, whos Brother won the BASS Master Classic in 2006,was gracious enough to autograph his Picture for us that is located on the front of our new 2008 season brochures. The State Championship was won by Wayne Sharpe and Mac Morrison from the Foothills Division with 15.96 pounds and collected $1000 from Rocky Socks and Nester Hoisery. The top Director/Sponsor team was John Snincak from the Central Division and Richard Jordon from Bass Proshops. The Big Fish was won By Wayne Sharpe and Mac Morrison with a #5.50 lunker and picked up a $500 Gift card from Bass Proshops. On stage the topic was pretty much the same. It was Cold and WINDY!!!!!!The best lure of choice was luck.

This was a tremendous event with Hank giving his personal testimony and his excellent speaking skills.The crowd was awarded for showing up with tons of door prizes thrown out by the anglers and event co-ordinator Mike Sides, who by the way,showed up at the scales with a face mask of Hank Parker on. Every Team was pulled to the stage in a brand spanking new Z9 Boat Provided by Basspro Shops and a new Toyota Tundra sponsored by Scion Toyota of Concord.
